Tea time Snacking

Ingredients

  • Whole wheat buns
  • Giardiniera mix
  • Garbanzo beans – 1 can
  • Cilantro – hand fulls
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Putting it togather

  • In a food processor, blend the giadiniera mix in to a pulp, but make sure you don’t grind it down to a mush. Put it in an air tight container and save it in the fridge
  • In the processor, add the Garbanzo beans, lemon juice, cilantro, some crushed pepper and grind it down to a paste. This is your chick pea hummus. Put it in an air tight contain and save it in the fridge
  • Lightly toast the buns
  • Spread the giadiniera mix on a bun and hummus on the other
  • Enjoy it with hot tea and some roasted cashew for a Sunday afternoon snack
